BIOGRAPHY
Born in Melbourne Australia Kim is a self-taught Contemporary Artist who began his artistic career in 1982. Initially Kim's art took form in metal sculptures and culminated with a commission by the Australian Tourism Association. The sculpture stands 7 metres tall and is on permanent display at the Associations Canberra Office. After the success of his sculptures Kim began painting with oil on canvas and discovered his true passion. Painting is now Kims primary focus. October 2000 saw the official launch of Bentley Manhattan's new showroom and gallery on Madison Avenue New York. A large cross section of Kim's work is displayed including an 11 ft x 6 ft painting depicting the death of Australian explorer William O'Hara Burke. The launch was attended by the board members of Bentley & Rolls Royce, Australian & British Consul Generals, numerous New York identities. The gallery / showroom is great success and has become a well known feature of Madison Avenue.
